Real-Time Protection:

Wordfence Premium provides real-time protection by updating Firewall rules and Malware Signature scans. This helps you immediately defend against new threats and promptly detect new malware and vulnerabilities.

Country Blocking:

Country Blocking is a premium feature that allows you to control access to your login page or entire website from specific countries. Learn more about this feature here.

Real-Time IP Blocklist:

This is a premium feature of Wordfence that helps you completely block access to your website from malicious IP addresses. Users of both the free and premium versions of Wordfence can join the Wordfence Security Network, allowing them to monitor malicious behavior from specific IP addresses across multiple websites. When a poorly performing IP address is detected, it is automatically added to Wordfence’s IP blocklist.

Note that users of the free version only receive the feature of automatically blocking IP addresses involved in brute force login attacks via the Wordfence Security Network. Premium users will receive additional features, such as automatically blocking IP addresses involved in other complex attacks through the real-time IP blocklist.

Wordfence runs directly on your server, providing better protection than cloud-based options. Cloud firewalls can be bypassed and have been known to leak data. Wordfence Firewall utilizes user identification information in over 85% of our firewall rules, something that cloud firewalls do not have access to. Additionally, our firewall does not require decryption at both ends like cloud-based solutions.
